Performer Applications
Each year, our small, isolated music festival receives over five hundred applications. Most applications are extremely strong. The breadth and depth of the Canadian and international music community continues to impress us.
We accept applications between September 1st and December 31st each year.
The festival's programming process:
Each year, we begin with a list of priority artists that far exceeds the number of available performance slots. Only a small percentage of the artists on these priority lists are the result of unsolicited applications. That said, we encourage, appreciate and listen to these applications, and attempt to get back to as many of them as possible.
Each year, there are many applications that truly astound us - and it's a great way to make sure that we are aware of what artists are doing outside our small community.
If you'd like to apply to our festival, please send our Artistic Director an email, as per the information on the Contact section of this site. Please include a link to online samples of your music, in some medium. Your web presence is the best tool for us to discover you.
Please do not send us physical (hard copy) packages by mail, unless directly requested.
We will endeavour to contact via e-mail each artist for whom we receive a package but ask that you do not contact us after we have acknowledged receipt of your materials. We will contact you if we are interested in pursuing a booking. We keep all submissions on file for two years.
